Bronco's A34 Comet

I have finally finished building the A34 Comet by Bronco. It is one of my favorite tanks of WW2. The assembly was quite easy. I used Eduards PE set which was quite good for the model although OOB it will still be very nice. The problem I encountered was when I painted the vinyl tracks. I use Tamiya enamels for my builds. The paint would not dry and stayed tacky up to now. I was building an M48 by Tamiya and used the same paint for the tracks and I have installed the tracks already to the Patton. I had to order Bronco’s individual tracks. I was very happy with it. It turned out however that the 108 pcs per side is too much. I only used 102. The space between the return rollers and the fender was rather tight because the tracks were thicker than the vinyl ones. It’s finally finished. I will post pictures after I’m done decalling.

I have yet to build my only Bronco kit, a Staghound armoured car. Got it on sale which brings me to my problem with the brand, too darn expensive. Most of their kits are a minimum of 60 bucks! Hope they fit well like Tamiya…

Hi Constuctor. Look forward to the pics of the Comet. One you don’t see much of.

Actually their models are quite good. I just bought the Cruiser tank and I have the Humber and they really look good. Another thing is they make models not even considered by other model makers. Fit is good but of course not Tamiya good but I can live with that. I’ll be posting the Comet pictures as soon as I’m done coating it with flat.

Check Bronco (and HobbyBoss) kits at LuckyModel. Even with the added shipping, the cost is half of what you see in other online stores. And they have near-monthly sales of specific brands. I got the Staghoud and couple other Bronco’s armor (including the Cruiser) for ~20-25$ and the LWS for about 30$ USD. Right now they have a HobbyBoss and AFV sale, with HB’s AAVP/AAVR at 25$ and the Pershing at about 18$. If you are into aircraft, their Hornet is on sale for 27$ (75$ at Squadron) and so on, you get the idea : )
