Brewster f2a2 Buffalo

Just picked up Tamiya’s kit from the local hobbystore. Im really looking forward to building it, I dont have very many pre ww2 aircraft so it will be a welcome addition and a nice break from the squadrons of p51’s and p47’s I usually build. Hmm, now to decide on which method for the metal finish, Im leaning towards metal foil.

Sounds good…! Keep us updated on your progress!

Loved building Buffalo kits when I was a kid. Built the old MRC and Revell Buffalos and 239’s. The Tamiya kit is a welcome addition.

You know, the Buffalo is as old a kit as the Tamiya Rufe, Raiden and Zero, but it is twice the cost today. Makes me go Hmmm.

Finished it up the other day was a fun build. Built it out of box and used Tamiya acrylics through out. Im very happy with it!

What finish did you use? Any metal?

What markings did you put on it?

Any pics???

I used Tamiya acrcylics sprayed through a airbrush to finish it I did this just to see how I liked acrylics as I would like to get away from enamel. so heres the run down mai body X-11, wings X-8:2 X-6:1, cowl X-4, tail section X-8, hub and prop X-11. All taken from instructions. Markings are for 2-F-7 which is on the box cover. Wish it was a little more exotic but I like all the same.
As for photos sadly i dont have either a scanner or digital camera and Im not very good at photography anyway :frowning:
