Gorgeous finish & paint job, the car looks outstanding.
I’d love to know how you precisly wound the copper wiring to make the springs, I’d been wanting to do the same sort of thing on my Tamiya 300ZX Fairlady I’m working on now, fortunately you can’t really see the springs on my model at all once assembled…
I have used plastic rod as a main part of the shock with the same diameter as original part. Then I used drill to wound wire. I have cut quite long wire and then I’ve wounded longer spring than needed using my own fingers. I have studied original part in order to make the process easier and new spring looking the same. Two attempts, third successful
New spring has been cut to the right length. I have sprayed Tamiya primer and airbrushed the spring with Tamiya acrylic.
Fantastic job on your Tyrrell! I love the photography, wiring job, belts and overall finish. Probably the best studio shots i’ve ever seen of a model Tyrrell ever.
Thank you for kind comments. I am still learning modeling as well as taking pictures.
Tyrrell was my the first model with wiring, so I am glad that it looks ok. On the workbench is sitting Jordan EJ 10 (Revell)… The pictures will be posted soon
