Brass detail RAF gun barrels

I just got back from IPMS Nats in Hampton VA. At the very last second I remembered I needed 2 guns for a 1/32 Hurricane. Having never seen them before I wasn’t sure of the dimensions. The 1/32 Brownings looked too short, thin and puny for the plane, but the seller assured me it was right. Has anyone had experience with these? WHat 1/32 dimensions are the right size for guns with jackets and flash hiders? thx.

Ok, Let’s try and tie things up.

The Hurricane either had 8 .303 browning’s or in the MK 2 4 20mm Hispano. I am not sure of the kit you have, but the following links should set you up right…

British Mk II .303 Barrels for Hurricane, and Spitfire.

There were no flash hiders on the muzzles for wing mounted weapons on fighters, however the .303 Brownings mounted in bomber turrets had flash hiders on.

Don’t forget… you need 8 of these for the Mk 1 Hurricane

The kit is the Revell/Monogram Mk2C. Not in a position to pay $45 for tiny guns. Perhaps 2 Hispanos will do the trick. Still, I need to verify the length of the right gun in 1/32.

On the Mk IIc the armament was 4 20mm MkII Hispano Cannon. I don’t know any AM provider that does that in 1/32.

Sorry, but it looks like your stuck with the kit barrels!
