Hello ,this is my next project,Bradley in Kosovo color sheme. This kit is my first modern tank in Braile scale. For detailing upgrade ,I removed an old right sieve and replaced ith with copper wire. Some of plastic antennas were replaced with copper wire too.
For base color,I used glass green (Gunze color) darken by black.
After that I used glass green mixed with deck tan-like Gunze color for tone down at all surface. I try to practice color modulation technique which I learned from MIG DVD.
I’m not sure the function of curved plate on both side but I paint it with rusted color to contrast the color with green base color. Next step I will filter and fade the surface with enamel color ,I will progress my work as soon as possible
I’m curious that is it possible to paint overall surface with green color or its must be camouflaged with brown and black to made this model accurate to real history?
Every criticisms and comments are very appreciate.
Thank you for attend my work. Happy modeling
Very impressive! Your process is looking real good. I am surprised that it is only 1/72 because of great details that we usually see on 1/35 kits. I wish I can help you about the colors but I really don’t follow modern armory. Hope one of the guys can help you…
Good start. Some corrections. All KFOR Bradleys were in 3-tone NATO Camo. The curved piece that you have painted rust is actually rubber and used to hold fuel/water cans. The storage basket on the right side was only seen on 2 BDE, 3ID Bradleys in OIF1 in Iraq, not on KFOR vehicles. That should get you started.
Thank you very much for suggestions and camoflage-colored guide. I’m very appreciate for helping and expect its must
improve my building skills.
I think hard about corrects this kit detailing and color scheme. Finally ,I found it’s too hard for my skill to corrects all errors and do a camo on this kit. So I desings to practice camouflage painting with my next kit ,Challenger II (1/72) , which has less camo color (2-tone) and paint this Bradley with fantasy sheme.
Today ,I had finished fading and wash. Below are some progression.
Every comments and suggestions are very appreciate. I will post more pics as soon as possible after I get done more work
