bought a couple kits in P.I.

I went on vacation to Manila Philippines and picked up a couple Dragon kits. I got the M4A3(76) VVSS SHERMAN kit # 6255

88 FLAK 36 w/artillery crew kit # 6260

and a small panzer riders kit.

about 20$ each for the large kits… the tracks on the sherman are going to eat @#$$ though.

any reviews on these kits from you all?? how’d I do on the price?

Prices on kits in the Philippines are great, about a year ago when I went to Manila I located a very nice shop in Makati City in a mall complex that was stocked literally to the cieling. The prices you got sound about right, the real trick is getting them home. Fortunately, I’d only brought a roll-aboard small suitcase and my laptop bag so I could max out my 70lb luggage limit with kits (also took up the spare weight with my travelling colleague) to get about 10 kits home at those prices. Couldn’t pass it up. [:D]

As far as the kits themselves go, I recommend you check out http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/ for reviews, they have one on each of the kits you picked up.

let me guess, the mall of asia, first floor, right around the corner from the ice rink in the mall… right? right?! LOL

If only I could have convinced the wife to let me get more, I did also pick up a really nice tamiya dbl action airbrush too!

so I have three dragon kits to build, one hasegawa, and a tamiya… as well as two half finished to complete… so much to do so many choices!

I better finish at least one or the boss will get suspicious.

When I was there the Mall of Asia hadn’t opened up yet, it was still under construction IIRC.

PI girls rock!

yes they do (my wife is one!)

oh, and to keep this on the topic of armor… I dont build them much, do you guys assemble the hull, then paint? or keep the road wheels off?? I usually build planes
