bottom of 1/32 Fieseler Storch fuselage. How do I preserve the detail when I join the halves?

Hi

want to start the Revell/Hasegawa 1/32 Fieseler Storch. Noticed there’s a cross-hatching pattern on the bottom of each fuselage half. How do I preserve this if I join the halves and need to fill any seams? Any sanding to remove seams will obviously take the detail away with it!

Thanks!

When I assembled my 1/32 Fieseler ( Hasegawa) I armed myself with my visor and a new blade in my xacto and carefully trimmed out the offending flash which was minimum. I was not concerned about a minor gapping when assembled as it complimented the stitching. If you lose some some of your detail you can always stretch out some sprue and replace the minute sections. I would use a light brushing of “Clear enamel” paint to glue it down so not to disolve the hair thin piece of sprue.
