Bombs away!

Johannes signing in, Herr Commandant! (Okay, so my German is more than shakey…) I know nothing!

Sehr gut. (I took German for three years in high school but don;t remember much more than a few key phrases. If I say “Good Evenening” too much, slap me.)

The 388 will be neat to see…one that doesn’t cross over this forum much. Which kit/scale do you have?

Hello all…Wilkommen to our GB…

looking forward to all your posts…just to clarify I will be building a Do-217 Promodeler…altough the 177 will be nice…it will be on my to do and to buy list.

Mucker…great job in getting us up and running.!!

carlos

Hallo, I’ve been thinking about getting a Revell AG 1/48 He-111. My local hobby shop has it for around 19.99.

Carlos…I was hoping you’d do the 177 as well [:D], you know, a show of support and solidarity for our Komeraden…just kidding. I corrected it to the 217.

I hope someone does a 177, too. And maybe the Fw.200.

FeldMarschall:

You’re a welcome addition. Let me know if you’re in. I’d love to have a whole fleet of He-111’s. And I hope your LHS is Boardwalk…that’s a great store. They carry a great variety of hard to find kits and brands. Plus they have Polyscale paints!

Hey Mucker, I won’t even attempt to speak German though all my “roots” are mostly German. To elaborate on my build I will be attempting to do four Ar 234’s though one of them will be a night fighter Ar 234 B which doesn’t really qualify as a bomber. The other three will be a Ar 234 B Blitz, an Ar 234 C, and an Ar 234 C with the E 381 Julia. All will be 1/72 kits from Dragon. Two of the builds will be going to a good friend of mine just in case you are all wondering what I plan to do with so many of them. [;)]

Hey Mucker!

How’d you know that I picked up a Monogram 1/48 He-111? I’d love to join this GB…count me in!

Good job on putting this build together!

Aloha,

Chris

Dave:

Excellent…this makes you the leading “ace” of the GB…and duly promoted to Hauptman.

How are you on reference material for the Ar.234? I may have a picture or two from my visit to the NASM last summer. After my He-111, there’s a particular P-47 I want to get to, but time allowing I have the ProModeller 1/48th Ar.234C in my stash. I have a feeling your builds will provide the encouragement to break out this kit early!

[EDITED]

I found the pcis and will post them here:

Chris:

The BomberGruppe spies in Hawaii had reported your recent acquisition of the Monogram kit, and we predicted it was only a matter of time before we could entice you to join. Welcome aboard. I look forward to another outstanding build of a German aircraft from you. Is there the possiblity of another diorama with the He-111?

The idea of this GB was sparked by Carlos (carsanab), who is the “co-chair” (of whatever lofty position this is[party]) of the GB. Within the next few years, he’ll need the most shelf space for the bomber kits he’s accumulating.

By the way, can someone help me establish a simple web page to post the finished builds? I love what Marc did on the P-39 GB. I think I have alloted web space on my yahoo account, but I haven’t the slightest idea on how to host a web page.

Alright Mucker…you twisted my arm…count me in for the 177…looks like i have no other choice but to buy it…what a sacrafice I will have to make!!!

Oh and as for my position…I guess since I am an architect Minister of Armaments just like good ol’ Speer will be just fine.

That will leave Air Marshall open for you…

CS

Hey Mucker, I have never been in a group build before so I thought I would give it a shot. My mom just ordered my 1/32 Hasegawa JU-87G. I am expecting it anytime now since my B-day is the 12th. I would love to do this group build![8D]

Chris

Carlos…Good Grief! You der Mann!

Admit it…you were just looking for an excuse to get the new MPM kit! Now the real question is: are you getting all of the aftermarket goodies to go with it?

Where in the world are you going to be able to display both the 217 and the 177?

Great work on the badge, too.

Chris: You’re in. I’m glad we have a Ju.87 in the fold…I’ve heard great things about the Hasegawa kit.

As for GB’s once you endure the hazing, it’s a blast.

All joking aside, I’ve been in several GB’s now and have found them to be a great way to share information, learn teachniques on specific aircraft on interest, and make friends with fellow model builders. They’re no-pressure and all fun. If you have a digital camera, make sure to post pics along the way.

Oh, and an early wish for a [bday]

Being that I cant even get any work done on my P-39 why not go ahead and enter another GB. Put me down for a JU-88 W/ asurprise.

Thad

That’s the spirit, Thad!

The judges rule that a P-39-carrying Ju.88 “Mistel” still qualifies for this GB…[;)]

Ok Mucker, I’m in.

Pro-Modeler Ju 88 A-4 in 1/48. I may also add the Pro-Modeler Do 217E in 1/48 to this GB.

Auf Wiedersehen (for now … my one year of German in HS was many years ago and I don’t honestly know if I spelled that correctly)

Steven

Steven, err, Stefan, you are now a proud member of the BomberGruppe. Your satisfaction is guaranteed or your GB membership is free.[:-^]

I commend you on the double entry. Bombers aren’t the easiest planes in the world to put together. Also, I was hoping to get at least ten members, and you’ve set the mark. Thank you.

Now macht schnell! (I heard that in an old movie and it sounded neat)

I’ll jump in on this one also, please. Throw me in with a Pro Modeller 1/48 Ju-88C. [:)]

Wunderbar. We’re assembling quite the fleet. Is the ProModeler kit a rebox of the Dragon kit? I have the Dragon Ju.88C-6 in my stash and it looks tempting. From what I’ve read it builds into an outstanidng model, but takes time and careful dry-fitting/planning. I’ll be very interested to see the Ju88’s in this GB.

Well I ordered the 177…what the heck…its only 1 more kit…and I also ordered some reference books…one should have nice camo schemes…as soon as I get them I can get you guys and hopefully gals this is open to all!!! some reference material. Let you know as soon as I get them.

Lets start seeing some pics.!!!
