oh dear…[V]…i can ee i’m going to have to drag my girlfriend round duxford again this summer once the airshow season starts, just to make sure i didn’t miss anything the last time we were there!![:p]
although she did look good posed in front of the b-17, the b-24, the b-29…kind of like nose art, but real-life!![:p][:p][:p][:)]

Anyhoo, here’s a couple Lanc walkarounds, although I seem to remember seeing one that’s a helluvalot more extensive. Will have to grunge about to find it…
For those who aren’t familiar with ACWC (Aircraft Walkaround Center) it’s quite the resource of photos and links. Many of the links are dead, but with over 2700 of 'em, there’s enough to keep you busy for awhile.
Greg, a pal of mine shot the CWH Lancaster several years back and gave me his dupes and negatives. I seem to recall many of the shots being kinda 'eh, but I can try and dig 'em out and see what’s there.
Fade to Black…
Interior of the CWH Lanc is very spartan. No navigator or wireless station and four old DC-3 seat on the port side inside. The upper turret is the Martin variety with it bolted in place. The guns in the upper turret have been somewhat stripped. Bombsight, etc removed. I took a flight in her a couple of years ago. Can’t beat the thrill of the ride but the restoration of the interior wasn’t a full resto. I took a bunch of digital photos, downloaded them onto the computer, erased the flash card and then our computer was infected and we lost EVERYTHING.
Bummer!
