bomb colors of the Henschel123

Hi fellow modelers

Im working on a new model while finishing my other two models, my model is a Henschel 123 A1 biplane, and I need to know what the color of the bombs suppose to be the instructions do not mention anything, by the way the kit is a ESCI 1/48 and their colors are different then revels version, also Im unable to find any walk around books or osprey books on the aircraft can anyone help me here I would appreciate it-thank you

Take a look at the Stuka Pic at the bottom of the page.

thanks for the information so they were painted green no matter what era from biplane to WWII, right from what the photo shows me

It looks like a dark feldgrau (field grey) to me, but I’m not a good judge of color photographs, since I have color vision issues that may make it look different to me than other folks… Feldgrau is a gray-green (more green than gray) color the way I see it.

Basically, I take a wild-azz guess at ordnance colors, with the exception of US and NATO markings, since I have first-hand experience with those and don’t have to guess.

The instructions on the Airfix 1/72 Hs.123 suggest the Humbrol equivalent of RLM70. I wouldn’t normally suggest Airfix kit instructions as a source of accurate colour call-outs, but they got all the other ones (apart from the tyres) right on this kit, so I wouldn’t dismiss the idea out of hand.

Cheers,

Chris.

I ran into the same problem when I built the kit. Somewhere I found a color picture and the closest I was able to match the color was RLM 02 Grau (grey)
