Here are some shots of my CMR 1:72 Boeing 40B,

Unfortunately, I had forgotten to add the flying wire stabilizer bars before I shot the photo backdrop shots, so I went back to workbench and added them (scratchbuilt, not in kit) before the plain backdrop shot.

6 mil nylon monofilament thread. It is the “invisible” color. I believe that makes it look smaller than it really is. I never use black or white, the high contrast makes it look larger. If I do not use the invisible mono, I use a medium gray.

The stuff is miserable to work with. It has the stiffness of stainless steel :slight_smile: Really hard to tie knots, etc. Every time I use it I swear I will never use it again. But then when I see how good it looks, I use it on my next model.

Nice work as usual, Don. In my old biplane days we called those stabilizer bars javelins. Their main purposes were to keep the wires from singing from vibration and to prevent the wires from rubbing against each other where they crossed in close proximity.
