Ok, I know this topic has been brought up alot, but I need some motivation. I’ve recently purchased a Trumpeter Mig-19 in 1/32 to do a BMF finish on. What kind of info can everyone give me?

I’m intneding to use MM Aluminum or Aluminum Plate metalizers on this since those are what I’m used to. Which one of those two should I use and what’s the difference? I also know that the surface has to be prepared to look perfect. Is primer required?

Any info or tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

I’ve always had good results with MM metalizers and have sprayed them over bare plastic and primer with no problems, and the different shades mix together great for slightly different colors.
One thing to watch for when shopping for the metalizers is if its buffing or non-buffing. The buffing metalizers are probably the way you want to go for a shiny finish.

Thanks, Hoser. As I’m sure you know, both of these are buffing metalizers, but I just don’t know what the is difference between the two. I went ahead and bought a supply of both just in case.
