WOW!! Fantastic job on the gloss paint job…do give details, what paints did you use, what (if any) clearcoat did you use, etc. etc.

Very nice build. Beautiful Paint job. One question, I’m no expert on the A-4, but I think the wing slats were normally open on a parked aircraft.

Model Master Blue Angels blue thinned with Floquil thinner. No clear coats, just me and my Iwata HP-BC. This a/b really does a great job of atomizing paint.
As I understand it, Blue Angels Skyhawks had the slats locked in the up position. As my wife will tell you, I have been wrong before, however.
Great looking Skyhawk. Non problems on the gloss coat that I can see!

Silver is Alclad II Polished Aluminum over the Modelmaster BA blue. Kit decals. They are OK but I am sure aftermarket would be better. This was primarily a “test” before starting my FM F11F-1 Tiger in BA markings. Just wanted to make sure I could do a good job with gloss blue. It turned out better than I had hoped!!
you did a great job on the gloss finish, and of course the rest of the model! I’ve always loved the Blue Angels; used to watch them every 2 years at Belle Chase Airbase in Louisiana since I was a little kid (lol I used to hold my ears every time the F-15’s lit up their afterburners[:D]).
