I want to model a T-34 with the rear part blown up showing the engine compartment partially or fully exposed. I haven’t been able to locate any detailed photos to use as a guide. I have the resin parts to complete the engine compartment. I also know that the armor does not bend but cracks due to the detonation. Any info on this subject including articles and detaling info on depicting fire damage on armor plates will be appreciated.
Sometimes armor plate does bend…never say never when it comes to a tank exploding…the higher quality the steel the less likely it was too crack…
Try this link out…lots of pics of destroyed/knocked out Soviet vehicles. http://www.battlefield.ru/content/view/203/104/lang,en/ Should provide you with plenty of inspiration.
1/16th shots if they are any use to you,
