Blown Mower... Redy For Work...

Last Sunday while I was mowing the lawn, I hat this weird idea… To have a lawn mower in 1/25… I searched on the internet, but nothing interesting… :-/So I started to build it like the “old” lawn mowers, with the opening part on the side instead of in the rear.

your cuttin grass already? i still got snow on mine lol

that looks cool! I like random stuff like that

Cool ! What are you using for an engine?

Thank you guys!!!

@JTRACING, Yep, it is the second time! I would prefer have some snow, and go out and play with my Jeep, but here if snow 5 inches it’s a miracle!!!

@Sprue-ce Goose, I don’t know if scratch build a lawn mower engine or going wild… Any suggestion???

Hamster size Lawn Mower Racer?

(smaller scale than human size )

for a human size lawn mower racer how to:

or…you could use just one cylinder of an old airplane radial engine?

Odd little build…why not use a Harley motor? Maybe from a 1/35 kit . Of course the drive for the blade will be interesting , lay the v-twin on its side and run some velocity stack/injectors straight up and exhaust pipes up to the moon and then…Ahh I give up!

I have decided to go “wild” with it… [:D]

Soooopah!

That’s usually the most fun.

Agree!!! [:D]

Because I will put a V8, I need to add some brake, safety always in the first place!!!

Add disc brake, the red things it is the caliper, and the other level is for regulate the height.

i put a little generator in the back of my model ute, which would make a fairly realistic engine for a mower, if that was the way you wanted to go. can’t remember where ii got it, but it was aftermarket model supply, its white metal.

Thank you for the suggestion. But I will put on it a HEMI, I think from a 69 Charger… {:)]

The gas powered RC model airplane engine would get the most smiles, especially when you fire it up and it sounds like a lawnmower!!..now if it was drivable with a remote and had a cutting blade!!oOHOHOOooo look out!

Some color… It is Arcadia Green from Duplicolor. Looks not to bad, I think to have a green/chrome scheme on it.

Here a mock up with the engine. The engine could be build in 3 way, stock, custom and competition. The competition one has a blower.
So I though this is a crazy idea to put a V8 on a lawn mower, so why don’t make a good crazy job using a blower… And after, I remember that I saw a engine with two blowers, so two it is better than one, and I went in this directions… :D

Let me know what you think… :)

If I may suggest,

Google Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, check the stuff he made and look at the way he proportioned the individual parts in his creations-especially the small vehicles…

here’s one site on his cars.

You may also obtain ideas from similar designers who created some of the re-issue 1960s show vehicles.

That may give you better inspiration than anything else…

I love Ed Roth! Soon I’ll post some pics of the Blown Mover, because it is ready!!!

thats awesome! reminds me of Tim “the tool man” Taylor lol when he supped up his mower to race Bob Vila
