Does anyone have any idea where Cutting Edge acquired the Black Magic paper used for the masks they sold. I have used a couple of sets and like the way it forms to models. I would like to buy some of that paper for use as masks of other models.
I used them a couple of times and I believe they are made out of some vinyl type substance. It is pretty thick so it does not distort when manipulating them on the canopy which is a big plus. The bad side is the last two times I used them they lifted off of the canopy on the sharper curved top of the canopy. Both canopies where cleaned carefully so it was not a residue that caused them not to stick. Overall I was not happy with them. If you really want to make you own masks I would look into the vinyl tape that Eduard uses for there masks. They stay put leave no residue and are very easy to use I beleive they are prefered by most of the other forum members too.
