Hey there - I recently acquired the Black Box cockpit set for the Academy 1/32 F-16 (gosh it sure has been fun to build so far), but the Black box instructions that came with the resin kit are totally illegible and vague to boot! I actually emailed them a few weeks ago, but didn’t hear anything back, and although I love the resin kit (I’ve actually purchased a few of their kits that now reside in the stash) I wish that their instructions could come closer to that of Aires, or even Verlinden, and maybe like Eduard have an on-line pdf version! But what was supplied was a hard-to-read photocopy. Anyone have any suggestions as how I avoid navigating this potential disaster of destroying the kit and resin because of inadequate directions? I know I’m going to have to take it slow, that’s for sure. Thanks all. And I do love the Black Box resin sets - they’re really beautiful. Just wish the instructions were a bit better… Jon
i hate bad instructions the only thing i can tell you is try to find a color photo of the actual cockpit and go from there,i’ve never used black box so overall is the purchase worth it, good luck and have a good one
I’ve used several of their sets and had the same problems. I’m affraid the only thing to do is constantly dry fit everything all the time. I’m not into the “big” scale birds, but the 48th resin pit fits pretty good. Their side walls can leave something to be desired as far as their fit goes. Let us know how things progress tho!

Thanks for the advice, guys. Well, I’ve made some big cuts in this big kit, and the cockpit tub is actually fitting pretty nicely so far. Primed it, and the detail is amazing. Man, I love this stuff. But the directions really ain’t much help at all, frankly. There are 15 parts I think in this resin kit, and the instructions have like 3 pictures, all of which are grainy and impossible to see. I think the reference photos are the way to go, like you suggested. They’ve been invaluable so far as far as fitting the tub. It’s just a little annoying that they can’t include decent instructions, especially when many other companies (even little basement ones, like zactomodels, for instance, who provides 1/32 flanker resin replacements) can. But the resin is beautiful, so I guess I’ll just deal with it. Ahh, it just adds more adventure to my life… I’ll post some pics when I make some more progress. This is a nice kit, and the resin is gorgeous too. Thanks - Jon
