Bits and Pieces Aircraft quiz (CLOSED)

Hello all,

Yesterday, I launched an “Inside out aircraft quiz” using the cockpit of an aircraft.

For those of you not expert on cockpits or lacking the research material to work from, I give you the “Bits and Pieces” quiz. basically the premise is that I’ll give you a few photos of sections of an aircraft, they may or may not be from the same original photo, but all will be of the same type of aircraft.

I’ll give you a week to work on it and post the winner’s names roughly this same time next week. Please send your serious answers to me by PM only.

And away we go:

Total Guesses: 05 / Total Correct: 03

Incorrect guesses:

CASA 212 Aviocar, Shorts C-23 Sherpa

Tell me I have not stumped experts around here.[:-^]

Two for four. Its a start.

Lets keep the guesses coming.

This is easy. All it takes is hours of research and a few hints from you. Lovin’ every minute of it.

Just bumpin’ it back up.

Only took me about three minutes. You just have to know where to look, and have an idea what to look for.

This is a cool idea.

Glad you think so, it gives me the confidence to try doing these again.

You are right, its just a matter of knowing where to look and what to look for. Each aircraft has its own unique features, however small, that give it a “fingerprint” if you will.

All the pictures in this quiz do contain at least part of this aircraft’s fingerprints.

O.K. folks, three days left, time for a hint:

1: Spent most of its life on the wrong side of the Cold War.

2: Successfull in both military and civilian circles.

3: Skydivers love these birds.

One day left on this one folks, get your guesses in.

O.K. Folks:

Five guesses and three right answers later, we have:

The Letov Let 410 Turbolet

The winners are:

roadkill_275

I’ll have another “bits and pieces” quiz up soon.
