What new aircraft model can I get for a birhtday. It has to be in 1/48’th scale and should cost between 25 and 40 dollars. If you find something can you please give me the link so that I can check it out.

My goodness, T-34, there’s probably so many models that fall within your perimeter, it would be easier to base your decision on the experience of the one you’re buying the Present for.
Speaking from a generalized prospective, Monogram produced & re-issued many WWII piston engined aircraft in 1/48 scale, some even with retractable landing gears. There are numerous Jet type fixed wing in 1/48, which can commonly be found at the local retail level. These type models are usually pretty straight forward and look good when built straight from the box. (look better when dolled up a little bit, but that’s the beauty of them)
Visit a good Hobby Shop, the choices increase dramatically! Don’t want to leave the comfort of your work desk? Do a few E-Bay searches, for there are some GREAT deal’s floating around in there!! I recently purchased a 1/72 Savoia Marchetti S.55X, which I’ve looked for a long time, for $12.75 on E-Bay. I’ve waited a long time for that one! [;)]

Tamiya makes some nice P-47 Thunderbolts in that price range which happens to be my favorite WWII fighter.
