Biggest military modeling conventions in US?

I’m new to military modeling and was wondering what are the big conventions? You know, the ones that attract the most modelers, have a large “vendors” area & so on. Cheers.

IPMS will be more than just military, but are more often scheduled, due to the multiple regions and chapters. AMPS is Armor specific, you could PM Roy Chow (AMPS 1st VP, known as T26E4 on these forums) for more info on that however. No AMPS chapters up where I am.

Those are the organizations. Each of the regional meets and the IPMS Nationals (annually, rotates between East Coast/Midwest US/West Coast) usually have large “vendor” areas. Even our meets up here in Minnesota have pretty decent turnouts (since we have 'em in September, before it freezes).

Hope this helps out. And Roy, don’t hate me, you’re the only AMPS guy I am aware of on the FSM forums. [:D]

Hey Matt; Thanks for the publicity for the club!

Randy: where do you live? Besides the AMPS National convention (next April in Maryland), some regional shows occur too. Email me offsite if you need assistance.

BTW: the IPMS-USA show in '09 will be in Columbus, OH – my neck of the woods. I’ll be manning the AMPS table there.
