Russian jet builders beware… I’ll be digging into an F-14D sometime very soon. Time for a change on my bench.

Which kit?
Trumpeter… couldn’t find the Tamiya kit and it is just a bit too pricey for my tastes. I also figure I’m good with Trumpeter’s kits so why change up now? I’ve got a truck-load of AM for it coming to my door today…[:P]
But yes, I need a change of nationality for a while (and since I planned on building American this year, I had better get to it).
Lol, If I had not just finished a 7 month build I’d probably join you but, I’m going for a 1/48th Chinese fighter next, the big cat can wait, I have had it a few years so a while longe wont hurt. I cant wait to see your build, I think the F-14 is one of the only western fighters besides the F-18 that’s frequently dirty and grimy, could rival the Russians for dirt with it?
yeah, the F-15 doesn’t usually look too grubby for some reason… the ghost grey scheme appeals to me.

Me being the kind of person who is not into modern jets, the Mig 29 is the only modern jet I like, and being Polish I had to get the Eduard kit…

So whats the rules of this build, forgive me its been awhile since I have been on and things have changed
Dean30 is/was our GB leader, but the gist of this GB is simple- it has to be a Russian-built jet fighter that has a western reporting name that starts with “F”- Flanker, Fishbed, Flogger… etc.
No deadline, I have a “Fulcrum” that will need building but not building as fast as I used to.
That’s good, as there’s no end-date for this GB that I can think of.
…need to get my Su22 out of the “parking lot” and back on the bench… [:$]
Oh no, I feel the need, the need… to go buy that 1/48 Eduard MiG-21 weekend kit. [6][li]

I went ahead and got three kits last night at the hobby store, cuz we are having a summer sale and my boss said I could take my pick before the sale started and take the stuff home and pay for it as I can!
