Big brother is ... well ... big.

Here are three of the four projects on the table right now. I was test fitting the vac wings for the Do-217 M when I could not help but note the size difference in these aircraft.

On the left is a 1/48 Hobby Craft Avia S-199 and on the right is a ICM Yak-7B in 1/48.
Here are a couple of shots of the interior of the Yak, these ICM kits really give you some bang for the buck.

What’s project #4? That is the Czech Master Me-309, pictures of that will be coming soon.

Swanny,

Looking good as usual![:)] A couple questions:

-When do you sleep?
-Where do display all your builds?

[:D]

Carl

swanny refresh my memory the do-217 is what scale again? they all look like they are progressing very well.

joe

Looking good, Swanny.

I just have to say, you must have one BIG workbench![:D]

i would guess its 1:32 because of the size of the wood grain on the table. most tables have panels 5 inches or so in width

Looking good mate. Can’t wait to see them finished.

Swanny, is that the 1/48th Pro Modeler 217?

Looking real good Swanny! Great work in the cockpits. It looks like you can just climb on in and start flipping switches!

All three of these are 1/48 scale, the Do-217 is the Promodeler E5 being converted to an M11. Actually I have two desks pushed up against each other at a ninty degree angle but that is not even enough space sometimes. When I’m doing four engine builds things get really tight.

Sleep? That’s just a waste of time unless you are dreaming about airplanes.

Display is accomplished with a large centurion house. I had taken over the formal dining room several years ago with a large aerial display and one large wall unit then moved into the family room/library hanging a few from the ceiling where a Classic Airframes Whirlwind is making the historic chase of a He-111 across the room. When the boys went to college I took over one of those rooms for my work area and have been rapidy eating up all display space there. I also maintain a large display at a local airport and at the local hobby shop.

This picture of my modeling room is from last spring and there are about four or five more large ones hanging from the ceiling now.

I’m considering buying another shelving unit for in here.

Very impressive work swanny, btw, do you sleep and dreams with those things. LOL.
