Super job Joe. Really looks nice.
I love that shine, Joe! Looks like you did a great job with that kit. Thanks for sharing.[tup]
Wow! I’d swear you used a roll of 'luminum foil!
That looks great. Very well done.
Nice work Joe, I luv using Alclad great stuff

I just finished the same model (had it in my ever expanding “to do” kit closet). Wasn’t that checkerboard decal a #$%&* to put on?! [;)]
I see you chose to forgo the horizontal red trim striping along the anti glare panel.
Like many of these “oldie but goody” Monogram models, this isn’t a bad little kit. Especially for the small price paid for it off the shelf these days.
Very good looking 'Stang. I especially like the finish and your decal work looks great!

Looks fantastic! To pay less than $8.00 for this kit at Wal-Mart and wind up with tha great looking a model has to rank up with the all time great values in the hobby.
Bravo, Joe! Having built that kit myself ('cept with the Miss Marylyn livery), I know how much of a challenge it is to make it presentable, but you nailed it. She definately looks better than mine does.
Joe,
Beautifully done!
Nicely done, Joe! [bow]
Good job, Joe!
many many thanks all. i really appreciate the kind words.
the red stripping for the antiglare panel i didnt see. didnt notice it on the instructions either. i will keep as is though. dont want to screw up the finish now.
again many thanks.

Very, very nice work on the Mustang.

The only reason I mentioned it, is because I have seen so may variations regarding the red pin striping. Some show none. Some show everything including the canopy and the wing tip checkering pinstriped.
The instructions actully call for you to paint a pinstrip along the edge of the OD antiglare panel, but curiously don’t provide the decals for this, even though they do provide identical pinstripe decals for the nose checkering portion.
I was unable to locate any clear color photos of the original to confirm, although there are plenty of the current, airworthy/airshow version.
I’d leave it as is too. Great job on this kit.
Cheers.
