I submit to you all, my latest aircraft project. I usually do historical figures, but I’ve always loved aircraft, especially WW II fighters. This example is the Pro- modeler Bf109 G trop, but I added the Aires conversion kit to make it a Bf109 F. I used Eagle Strike’s “Augsburg Fliers” decals as well. I wanted to model Hans Jochim Marsaille’s (spelling?) 109, but I couldn’t find the exact markings to build his aircraft, so this is a member of the same squadron. This project took a gold medal at the Rockey Mountain Model Club show and contest which is held each May in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It’s a very nicely run affair and they get about 300-400 entries. If you’re ever in Western Canada in May, check it out.

Thanks and cheers everyone.
Ghamilt1 firstly let me compliment you on your build "LOOKS GREAT’’
By the markings on your aircraft i’m assuming it belongs to Hauptmann Eduard Neumann Gruppenkommandeur 1./JG 27 Libya 1941…
Marseille flew a number of A/C in North africa all but one{ Bf 109 E/7 Trop yellow 13} marked as yellow 14…
The one i made was BF 109F-4/ZTrop Yellow 14 which carried a white spinner and primer red rudder with 50 victory bars, i think this was his 3rd A/C but i’m not that sure off the top of my head Marseille lost 7 109s on operations not counting the 109G2R1 Trop he was flying at the time of his death…J.S…
Good looking build
Thad
Great looking 109. Thanx for sharing.
The build looks real good, but the white balance on the pics is way off, making them kinda hard to see. I’m guessing you shot them with Tungsten lighting, but your cam was set up for daylight.
Regards, Rick
Thanks everyone. You’re absolutely right about the photo Rick. Since I took these shots, I’ve been taking pictures outside to take advantage of the natural light. Next up is a 1/32 spitfire mk. IX, in Canadian markings and all striped up for D-Day. Cheers.
looks excellent from my house friend!! maybe you should do planes more often!! later.
i really like this subject. very nice build.
