Anyone know a good source for Bf110D images and info?
Sorry to let you know that there are very few sources for the Bf-110D. Fortunately there are a good number for the C & E and there is very little difference between the 3. When I built my R-1 I went on an extensive quest to find images of the plane, but they were built in such small numbers that pictures just plain don’t exist.
My best suggestion is to look at ALL of the varients of the 110 and come up with the detail characteristics of the D-1/R-1 through reason. ie. we know what engines it had, you also know that there was no radar in the early variants, so that simplifies the cockpit, balloon tires and rounded spinners were later. Just try to carry on in that vein until its as accurate as you can get it right…
Just a suggestion: almost all of the images that I’ve seen of this plane have fuel pods on the outer wings, but I was able to find ONE photo of the R-1 with 37mm Flak guns on the outer pyons. Now THATS a ship killer!
Good luck
Have you tried Google Image?
