Doh! Looked at that pic 100 times and never noticed that seam! [:$] Next time…
Mike,
Your 109 looks awesome. As with your 190 the photography looks so life like. Even my wife who calls me a model geek, hense the screen name, is amazed by the life like pictures. When I showed her the post she said it looked like your standing right in front of the plane.
Tom,
Thanks, to you and your wife! [t$t]
Love it thanks for sharing
Hi!
Sorry for waiting so lang to recive an messaeg, but I´ve had massive PC problems.
I hope my english is good enough to answer the questions you´ve asked about my message about the white rudder on Walmanns Bf 109.
It seems so as if the plane indeed ha an whithe rudder, this is shown in a picture the author Mr. Waldmann showed me a few years ago.
It seems so as if this plane, an WNF factured 109, became Waldmanns plane after a short career whith other pilots of the JG 53 in the meditarean aerea.
In the book are two pictures that shows Waldmanns 109.
In this picture it is clearly visible that the original plane code is painted whith probably RLM 02, maybe an darker color like an darf green or even RLM 66!

Also it´s clearly visible that the first groub band shortly in front of the rudder is overpainted in lighter color, maybe an light gray.
At last an direkt view of the dachshound emblem from Waldmanns 109.

Here it´s clearly visible that the pupill is an triangle.
I plan to build Waldmanns 109 in the coming weeks and I hope to build it very well, at last I have to finsh Waldmanns 262 in whitch he diet in the spring of ´45.

It´s nearly finished, but it had an realy, realy bad mistake I´ve made in my own impatience![:@]
Do you find it?
Have an nice day and best wishes
Jörg
