Bf-109 G12 Trainer

Hi

I have been looking Hi & Low for a Conversion kit to do the G-12 Trainer for the Bf-109 in 1/48. I know that JMGT form France had put a kit out but it seems to ne impossible to find… Falcon also looks like they released a Vacum Form conversion but it is no longer available… Does anyone know if these are still around and were you might find any or if there are any other options other then scratch building…

Any help would be appreciated

Scott

The Falcon kit is very crude. I’ve been fightingwith mine for a few years (its at the painting stage now). Here is a review of the kit.

It is a full kit, and many of the smaller parts are best replaced (I used spare Hasegawa parts).

Great Models Webstore has this kit in their catalog.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much

I went ahead and Ordered this… I figured with the 2 canopies I can scratch build one from a Hasagawa G-6 kit I picked up and buils this falcon kit with other pieces that are around… thanks for the the link.

Have you taken any pics of your G-12 at all?

I don’t have any pics of it right now. Maybe this is the inspiration I need to finish this kit (it went back into the box about a year ago). I replaced the front instrument panel, trim wheels, tailwheel, main tires, prop blades, drop tank rack, & various other stuff with items from a Hasegawa kit that got Verlinden replacements. I also scratchbuilt gear cover replacements. The canopies are beautifully clear, as all Falcon canopies are.

I cant wait to get this and get going on it… I picked up the MPM Fw 190S and a couple of other trainers but the Bf 109 is the one I really wanted to do. I picked up a CMK cockpit set for a G10 so I could use the G6 cockpit form the Hasagawa kit I was going to modify and add the left over Hasagawa cockpit from the 10 to get the detail in the side walls. Cant wait to see if works.

Thanks again for the link
