The end is in sight, futured and the main demarcation decales are on. I just need to put on the stencils and canopy. This is Hasagawa’s 1/48 offering and my first attempt at a mottle finish, should get finished over the weekend. All critiques welcome but be gentle as this is only my 3rd nearly finished build in 20 years. My reference pic for markings is at the bottom.
Tecs, not bad for your first swing! I’ve got a Tamiya E-4 that I’m building. I’m a little intimidated by the mottle, but I’m going to practice a lot. Your mottle looks alright, there’s a bit of over spray. Perhaps a lower air pressure and thinner paint will fix that? Just keep practicing and building, for a first mottle your’s is pretty good.
Luftwaffe camo schemes are a challenge for anybody. Not bad for your first try. I’ve always loved the look of the yellow nosed “Emils”. [:)]

Not a bad job for your first one, not bad at all. luftwaffe camo is by far the hardest to reproduce on a model. some try to use a mask, but the problem is most all of them have a soft to feathered edge on the fuselage that pretty much must be done free hand. You do have some out of scale over spray, but nothing a little fine tunning can’t fix. The wings look excellent and the colors contrast is good and you got that hard to paint yellow down real good. tighten up on the fuselage molt and your there.
