Wanting to build an Israeli Merkava (probably MKII). Who makes the best kit, and who supplies the best AM updates?
Thanks,
Adam.

In 1/72 scale, Revell of Germany makes the best, most detailed and easy to assemble kit.
In 1/35th scale, the best kit going for detail , fit, and accuracy is the Tamiya kit. Someone who uses the AM more than me can tell you who supplies the best AM parts for the kit, although Fruilmodel seems to be the favorite for AM track links.
In 1/35 scale, Tamiya makes the original Merkava I, a very nice kit. Academy makes a Merkava II and Merkava III. Trumpeter has a nasty one out too.
AEF Designs (www.aefdesigns.com) make various IDF resin detail sets.
The Academy Merkava II with the mine rollers is probably the best kit available. As far as aftermarket parts, look for Legend Productions. They have a replacement turrett, the ball and chain skirt set and a MK II B/C conversion set for the Academy kits. There is more available, but this is all I can find right now.
for MK 2 , i go for acedemy and the am is legend as i know it and the Eduard has the PE set too
