Without a doubt: Centurion
Welcome to the forums Cabar
Cabar, Howdy! Glad you could join our little mad house…
i love the tiger and panther. but i am partial to tank killers(my old job in the military) give me a good ole hummer with a tow on top and i am a happy camper! lol
Welcome!!
Its just got to be the konigstiger w. early “Porsche” turret’
best blend of curves&angles in a truly awesome presentation.
Also the Panther family,TigerI {early},& please don’t laugh’
folks, but theM-103A2, USMC “Big-Boy”,has a special place
in my panzer-lovin’ heart!!
Welcome to the madhouse, Cabar. Nice to have you join us!
Kingtiger and the Panther G. Flip a coin.
I would say the Panther for the ww2 era tanks, probably the M26 for the allies. Isnt it funny how the most effective weapons are often the best looking? ie spitfire, mustang etc.
Centurion or Leopard for me. Love the look of both of them. I have always liked the looks of the PZ III too for some reason.
It’s good to be the King… Tiger that is!
A Tiger 2 in ambush camoflauge - Here kitty, kitty, kitty.
for me it’s the NBFZ, even though only a few were made; the multiple turrets just look neat, and it’s sleek.

on a similar vein, the T-35 looks pretty cool too, although the central turret needs a longer gun to look great

Lots of newbies to welcome: Cabar, roowalker, Rockfall, neudog, and LSyd.
Rockfall, I’ve always liked the Panzer III also.
Ok, welcome to all the new people. Best looking tank? I think the Marder III just looks cool.
Given your criteria, my reccomendation would be the Panzer IV.
Sex in steel. Angular in all the right places, just oozes offense and europe conquering tendencies. A diamod of German industrial design.
Hands down for me is the stug 3 with the jadgpanther or tiger 1 after that. What else can you say about some thing that took out over 20,000 (with the stug 4 also) tanks!
Hard to say, as tanks aren’t what you would call beautiful vehicles.
But, ok, I’ll play your little game. [:p]
Purely in terms of looks, I’d have to say either the Abrams or the Swedish 103-C. For WWII, the Jagdpanther is an elegant vehicle.
You didn’t ask, but tanks represent military forces, and so I would consider them to be a little too politically controversial for the office. (This is assuming “the office” means an office at a company, not your private office at your house. If I’m wrong, don’t bother reading the rest of this!)
I work at a Japanese bank, and so anything from WWII is completely out – Allied stuff, of course, but also Axis stuff, as the Japanese are deeply ashamed of, and have repudiated, their fascist past. Not because I am afraid of getting in trouble, mind you, but out of respect for the feelings of my co-workers.
I have a good friend who is Palestinian, and she has some pretty bad memories of Israeli military vehicles. I won’t get into details, other than to say that she doesn’t live in her homeland any more. She was driven out, as were so many others, by the impossiblity of living anything approaching a normal life in her homeland. I wonder how someone like her would feel if they walked into your office and saw an Israeli tank there.
Hey, I know you are just interested in military history and hardware. The other guys here know the same thing. But the folks in the office might not know that. Not meaning to bud into your private decisions or to ruin your fun project, but just offering this as food for thought. Tanks are built to kill people, and they often do just that. You never know who may have stared down the muzzle of the real thing you’ve got a model of on your desk, when she was a nine-year-old girl.
I have to vote for the Tiger and King Tiger(Porsche turret) . I love the looks of them both
Eghad Larry! You just killed the mood in here!
When I hear the word paperweight, i think of a Sherman.
Howdy noobs! Welcome!
The first tank I built was the King Tiger w/ Porsche turret. I fell in love with its graceful lines and powerful main gun. I later found out that the Hensche turret King Tiger was more hull protective. My choice always is the King Tiger. Check out my contribution at this link.
