Best 1/72 scale F-15E?

What is the best 1/72 scale F-15E out there?
I am guessing Hasegawa or maybe Tamiya if they have one.
My 17 year old son is building an Italeri 1/48 F-15E that we bought several years back and it is really bad if you ask me. The exhaust nozzles look terrible and the fit is not very good. Are most Italeri kits this bad?

Thanks

Mike

Don’t know what the “Best” is but I like the Revell-Monogram F-15E Strike Eagle, in 1/72. Should still be available, and goes together pretty well and looks good. Only minor problem I had was with the Gun Pod, which I finally removed, after starring at it for a few years. Good Ordanance load-out, conformal tanks, etc. Burner cans and pit could use a little more detail, but more than enough for me.

Archer out.

Thanks Archer.

I wonder if that Revell is as good of tooling as the bigger 1/48 F-15E which is excellent?

Hasegawa’s E is really a D so it’s not accurate. Of course who will know. It’s a little fussy to build but with patience it turns out great.

The best one out there is the Academy kit. It has the parts you need for a Strike Eagle like CFTs, tangental weapons pylons and LANTIRN pods. Excellent value for money.
