Hi all, at our local show, in the main room was this…

It is soooo huge in real life, but absolutely awesome. At 7ft in length, it just commands respect.

The size of that thing is unreal… What’s the build status of yours?
There was of these at our local show last month. I couldn’t believe how enormous that thing was!!!

[#ditto] yeah, what he said I don’t even think I could handle one of those in 1/72
I surely want one and I’m not afraid. There’re just two problems:
The price of Dora in BKK is twice that of HK which is very unacceptable.
The thing is really huge and I don’t have the space to keep it. Oh well…
I would KILL for one of those things! I dont know what the hell I would do with it, or where the hell I would put it… but I want one!
Too bad my wallet just smacked me and yelled at me to get ahold of myself.
Those with space and/or wallet limitations could always build Fujimi’s 1/144 offering. It’s still something like 45cms long. I haven’t seen one myself, but I’ve read a couple reviews stating that the sprues are marked Soar Art. I seriously suspect that SA designed the 1/144 as a step up to 1/35. The 1/35 would be four times the size of the 1/144. They made a model of the model essentially. Dragon’s series of railcars could really build up a train. All that is lacking is the loco. (Why Dragon hasn’t done one or Trumpeter hasn’t scaled its down is beyond me.)
Apparantly it had 2 locos to pull it. They were purpose built as well as the track that the thing ran on was wider than standard.
Im sure youve already seen this but its worth a second look.

I actually came very very close to acquiring one of these. What eventually stopped me was not the price but the space requirement for the finished item. Something of that size needs a room to itself. [(-D]
Mine is still behind the door of my den. Taunting me LOL. I soo want to build it but space limitations seem to be the norm with this monster.

P.S The one at the show looked real nice up close. Very nicely weathered.
P.P.S Ive called my local car paint suppliers and they say they can knock me up a Ltr or 2 of german grey, if they have a sample. mmmmmmm
A member of our local IPMS chapter brought one in last month. The thing is MASSIVE! I thought the DML Scud was big in 1/35…[:O]
