I was wondering what ship was lined up next to the Arizona on the day of infamy. Any rescources out there that detail the layout of battleship row on that day?

The library has all sorts of books with maps on Pearl harbor during the attack.
NavSource also has one, it can not be linked directly, NavSource doesn’t like it’s images linked, it eats up their bandwidth. But here is the page that will link you to the image.

AR-4 USS Vestal.

My father-in-law (may he rest in peace) was a shipfitter at Pearl when the attack happened. He was on the Vestal at the time and said it was seriously burned by the fires on the Arizona, but was towed clear and repaired to go to war. He was also one of the men who helped raise and repair the ships afterwards and has many gruesome stories 'bout that. I believe Vestal was a replenishment and stores ship and was servicing Arizona at the time.

Vestal was a repair ship and was assigned to help upgrade a few systems on Arizona. After being repaired from the PH attack Vetsal went on to serve at forward bases like Tulagi where she did emergency repairs to things like North Carolina’s torpedo damage.

Anybody ever think of doing a 1/350 diorama? Be lots of scratchbuilding. [:)]

I think that it has already been done by the IJN back in 1940.[:p]

If you were doing just battleship row, most of the ships on Battleship Row are available in resin.

The only thing missing is a Nesho - I’m not aware of a kit.
