BATTLEAXE FOK DVIII BUILD

Ok, I am trying to come back. I have my garage unpacked enough to have a work space but not organized enough to start knocking all the Kits Ive accumlated out ! I though I would try something simple to wet the apetite only I found a pandora’s box. Still it is a simple kit and there is light at the end of the tunnel. If only I can steal enough time away from obligatrions and responsibilites to work on enough to finish it quickly. One thing I ve found is if I want ot work on it at night I will have ot build a box to muffle my new copressor. It sounds like the whinne of a turbine engine which comes on quite unexpected anytime the tiny holding tank press drops. Throwing my Pasche VL to the cieling as I jump from the sudden noise.

So far Ive made my own “Interior” Lozege Fabric Print Decals for the interior fuselage sides. I Only picked up some styrene stock and remade the Fuselage framing which the original parts were just too mishapen from the molding to look round like tubular steel. I have the Edaurd Dr I Detail set which I will use as mauch as possible and Toms Model Works DrI detail which I just took the seat from and remade the seat. I made copies of the Exterior top lozenge Decals to put on the seat and as you see the interior rear cockpit bulkhead which was fabric. I have a nice pair of CopperState german Spandaus to build to fit in before I can finish the Cockpit framing but I ve started enough of the frame to fit the fuel tank and rear bulkhead and seat assembly so that I can go on with the instrument, control and interior detailing.
