I am building dragons m4a4 Red army. The kit comes with an aluminum barrel and a plastic muzzle brake. I’ve tried to glue the brake on but I can’t seem to get it to stay straight. Any suggestions?
Have you tryed using a gel type super glue? That should set the two dissimilar materials quickly, alignment is something that the eye is about the only tool I know of other then building some sort of alignment fixture to get the muzzle on straight. Wish I could be more help.

5 minute 2 part epoxy worked well with my King Tiger. Just had to hold it for a few minutes
Epoxy is the way to go. That way you can fiddle with any alignment problems as it sets.
Put your barrel in a clothes pin so it stays vertical while drying. Might be helpful.
Not only will 5-minute epoxy glue dissimlar materials together well, like the metal barrel and the plastic muzzle brake, but if after drying you don’t like the way it has set, just gently pull the two pieces apart. They should seperate without being damaged. Couldn’t do that with superglue.

Another technique that can sometimes be applied in a situation like that is to first glue the parts with just a single small drop of CA glue, just to tack the pieces together. After the tack drop has set, you can then carefully adjust the parts alignment prior to final glue-up.
Thanks for the help.
Show some pics when you are done. How do you like that kit, by the way. I heard it is Dragon’s best Sherman
The Kits GREAT! The detail and accuracy is wonderful and there are virtually no injector pin marks. The turned aluminum gun barrel, photo etched parts, and the metal tow cable are a great addition to this kit. The vinyl tracks even has gaps between the links which makes them look a lot better than the ones supplied with other manufacturers kits. Dragon also included a vinyl dust cover which is nice but I haven’t seen any photos of a Russian Sherman with a dust cover. The tracks and dust cover came painted. This kit is defiantly the BEST dragon Sherman if not THE BEST Sherman kit on the market!
