Barkhorn's Fw190D-9

Aeromaster’s new decal stated that Barkhorn’s Fw190D-9 do not have RV band. What do you think about it?
Thanks

What’s a RV-band?

Cheers,

Jürgen

I forget the long form of the german word, RV. That is the color band that applied on Luftwaffen during defence of reich.

Red/white/red band on that aircraft

Well, as a general statement, fuselage bands are usually not very easy to apply. Many kits provide them, and there are of course AM sheets with them, but for the most part it is just as easy to paint them on. I brush painted these:

Aeromaster stated that no RV band on barkhorn’s aircraft according to recent research. I dont know if it is believable

yyyung,

As far as I know, the red-white-red RVT bands on Barkhorn’s Dora have always been speculative. JG6 was ordered to put red-white-red bands on their aircraft, but I have never seen a photo of a JG6 bird with the bands. The decal options that came with the Trimaster/DML Dora were both speculative and both turned out to be wrong (one of those schemes is Barkhorn’s bird). There are some fantastic schemes out there, though!
