Hi everyone, hope you can help! I just purchased my first Bandai Kit, one of those Gundam figures, it’s for a “special” project for our club…looking at the instruction sheet, they look straight forward, however, all of the symbols are in Japanese, and I don’t have a clue as to what the instruction would mean.
They are all of the symbols on the firs page of construction, the usual “do not glue”, etc.
Does anyone know of or have some sort of translation for these symbols?

Hey Kelly… Do you own a scanner or a camera… Take some pics or scan what you want to know and send me the file… I will help you out!

Thanks, but I don’t own a scanner (for shame) LOL I’ve managed to figure out most of them I’ve started some construction, so I think I’ll be ok, just as long as I remember the do not glue sign! lOL

No probs… With things like the stickers, they use katakana symbols… Just check the instruction, and then the sticker label for the matching symbol… You shouldnt have any problems… They are easy enough to build!

Don.t worry too much about the wordings in the instruction. I’ve been building gundam for 10 plus years, and I still can’t read a single Japanese word : ) Like you said the instructions are straight forward, the diagram should very much explain itself. As for color, I usually just apply any color that look close to the box art, or just any color I like.

If it’s a polycap and looks like it goes to a joint on the model, don’t glue it! [;)]
Honestly, this is why you test fit parts without glue to see how well they go together, then common sense takes over from there. Good luck on your kit, and be sure to ask any questions you may have!

You can glue anything if you use the right stuff, and at times silly enough to do it to yourself??

Well, you can glue bootleg PCs (Thank God! Otherwise these bootlegs I got accidently wouldn’t be poseable… )
Though I think I get what you mean, and some glues can glue them? I’ve never managed to get them glued to anything, though
