Here is my latest build (yep, a what-if). I needed a quick build to get my motivated again so I built up a 1/72 Italeri Hawk with a bit of a twist I did photoshop out the Dowel I had stuffed up the exhaust but that’s all I swear!
That’s amazing! You really did a great job with the photography. The kit looks really nice, too! The only thing I would recommend would be to tone the decals down a little bit. They look very stark. Great job!
Very sweetly done. I do agree with the starkness of the decals, but the overall effect is startling. And who would ever know it wasnt a Soviet bird of some kind or another?
Now that you mention it the decals are pretty bright, I wasn’t happy with the quality of the decals (registration was a bit off) but it’s all I had to work with. For future reference does anyone know of a way I could have toned them down without effecting the surrounding paint?
Excellent work! Looks just like a real fly-by!

Light tan pastel chalk, brushed/daubed on with a fine bristles brush ans smoothed out works good.
Ah haaaa, I’ve never used pastels before, I’ll have to give it a try…thanks!
Very nice! Love the photography.[tup]

Glad to have something to contribute.
Outstanding work! I like your photography as well.[8D] Call me strange[swg], but I like the bright red star. That way, there’s no doubt about who you’re going up against! Hope to see your work around here more often!

In those particular pictures with the way the aircraft is banking and the bright blue sky I think the bright decals look good. The angles remind me of airshow pics which would all be really clean.
