Hi Guys - I don’t usually build aircraft but thought this may amuse you. The kit is a 1/48 Airfix that I did for a friend for his new office. The Hawk, obviously, is in Red Arrows Display team livery.

As you can see the pics are not posed but taken purely for my computer files - messing around one night I superimposed one of them onto a shot of a cove in Cornwall, taken a few years ago when we were flying in a microlight competion - we had to fly over Tintagel (Arthur’s seat?) and be accurate to the second. In this case we had three minutes in hand and were wasting time, hence this shot of the bay.

Cheers - Martin
Hey that’s cool Martin. Nice pics and looks like a great model.
Jerry
Yeah that is pretty cool! maybe for your next trick you could build a plane with a little base and gear up so when you do that it would look REALLY cool!
Nice looking model & pic. The gear down detracts from realism in the pic, but otherwise looks great.
Regards, Rick
With gear & flaps down, he could be making a (very) long approach into St Mawgan!
BTW Volkswagen Mars red is close to Red Arrows red if you need to spray a Hawk.
Nicely done, Martin.
All the best
Pete
Lovely clean build and great to see a little bit of home (kernow). Great quip about St Mawgan!
Pete/Simon - it was about 5 miles out from Davidstowe actually and is on course that’s why the gear is down (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it). Runway a bit dicey there as it hasn’t been used since the war but it was OK for the Microlights!
