Badger patriot 105 problem

Hi guys

I have a question about my badger patriot. I got it out today to practice a bit before I start applying paint to a model just to get the hang of it and ran into a problem.

i went to clean the airbrush by running some water through it and it started bubbling in the cup like it was back flowing. it didn’t happen when running paint through. What would the most likely culprit be? The nozzle is clear as with the rest of the brush.

any help would be great

I’ve had this happen when the needle is not fully seated to the tip. Only thing that might be simple.

Think I may have found the problem. i think I may have had some dried paint in either the nozzle or the threads that hold the nozzle tip. I’m still trying to figure out the brush and tilted it by accident so paint spilled over it.

soaked the nozzle in some tamiya lacquer thinner for a few minutes and it loosen the gunk up

Paint in the threads makes sense. That might stop the cap from seating the tip properly, thus bubble in the air cup. A little paint in the tip more screws up your paint pattern than cause bubbles.

Are you up and running now ?

I have had this happen with my Iwata eclipse. You just have to make sure the nozzle cap has an adequate seal.
