bad pic?

If any of you are fans of ARC like I am, check out the friday June 4 update of a 1/72 Saudi Tornado. Does the wing on this thing look like its falling off? or is it just me? I only ask because other than that its a beautiful build. I just cant believe some would post a pic like that with out fixing it first…

Hmm - it could be caused by the camera lenses. I’ve had some distortion from taking closeups.

I think it is weird angle…E-mail and ask…

Yup. I think its a combination of the angle, the fact that close-ups do get distorted, the paint scheme, the lighting, and swamp gas refracting light reflected from the clouds of Venus during a solar storm on Vega.

Does it everytime.[:D]

Lenses can have a distinct distortion if set to wide angle. If it is equivalent to a lens shorter than 28mm on a 35mm film camera, bending will occur on the edges of the frame. Wide angle lenses make close objects appear larger, and farther objects appear smaller. A digital camera, if zoomed in, does not flatten the object the way a long (105mm) lens will. I always zoom in, and move the camera to frame the object. You can see the difference in these two pics.

I think the pic at ARC is more a matter of angle, rather than lens.
