Friend of mine just sent me a series of pics taken by the wingman of an F-15 coming apart in mid-air right behind the cockpit, and the pilor punching out well after separation. If anyone wants it, PM your email and will pass on and you can put some of them u if interest is here for it.
Corrosion in the main stringer was the culprit, and grounded the entire fleet for awhile, but don’t know how long ago it was.
If it’s the one with fields in the background, it’s the USAF simulation.
Am I correct when I say that they are late 70’s early 80’s vintage ? That pretty old stuff.
Yep, fields, roads and stream with trees as ground.
Was new to me so thought it might be interesting. Would still make a neat dio with the two pieces and the seat just out of the office and the burn still in effect on it…
I think the actual accident was in 2007 Missouri Air Guard.
