Congrats to you for your retirement. Good for you wanting to get back into scale modeling. Hope to see your progress in the forum. Welcome back!
To get the most from the forums, do not select just one forum. There is a group of forums labeled Tools, Techniques, and Reference Materials that has much about things like painting, tools, references and such that are common to all genres of modeling. Be sure to check out that area.
The members here are incredibly helpful and have a wealth of expertise.
