I returning to modeling. I built many a model when I was younger but now that I am older and wiser with more patience I hope to return to the hobby more seriously. I am looking for an F-15E in 1/48 scale, I have seen that Revell and Italeri make some. Does anyone have any recommendations? Something that will not be extremely difficult but will leave me satisfied.
Also, if anyone has any general tips/pointers/advice for me returning back into the hobby, like some good kits to start with/stay away from, etc. I’m all ears!
The Revell F-15E is the best 1/48 kit out there. It doesn’t come with very much ordinance though so you may want to try and find a Revell Pro Modeler F-15E kit if you can locate one as it comes with some good ordinance.
Welcome back. Good to see another AC modeler. You will find that most nearly all your questions will be answered here. What part of the States are you located in?
The Pro Modeler F-15E can be hard to find from retailers, here’s one that’s up for sale on ebay. I’ve gotten 90% of my kits from ebay and haven’t had any bad kits yet… just don’t buy paint, had a major mess/disaster with that.
First of all [#welcome] to the forums and [#welcome] back to the hobby. As everyone else has mentioned the revell offering is the best kit out there and if you can find it the Pro Modeller offers the ordnance.
