Found an old book with plans for making WW1 aircraft from Balsa and card and thought I’d give it a go. A real change from “shop bought” kits and how! Had a great time though working through the many problems posed! ( for instance, the wheels are old shirt buttons!) Not a laser sharp repro but I think it has its own qualities!
looks great,is that a high monowing or did my computer not show the bottom wing?also did you hand paint that incredible lozenge camo? i’ve got a couple “kites” in my stash however they keep getting pushed back because of my overpowering urge to by more kits. gotta go,great job though keep them coming.
Beautiful build! Fokker E.V, aka D.VIII, right? Great lozenging.
Hi Guys
Thanks for the feedback! It is indeed a Fokker DVIII With Cantilever Parasol monowing.
The beauty of this build was that I could print the lozenge camo onto ordinary A4 paper and then just glue it onto the balsa frame. ( Found a web site which allowed you to download a variety of lozenge camos!)
Could you provide the URL for the loz camouflage downloads?
