Back in the Saddle

After a lull of several years I’m getting back into modeling. I just picked up the Hasegawa 1:48 AV-8B Harrier II. Anyone have any experience with this kit? I did notice the cockpit has nice panel detail and the kit comes with panel decals. I think I’ll keep the molded details and go the paint route.

I have built this one and ran into a few problems. Its a good kit as long as you don’t rush it. Things to look out for are:

Forward fuselage section needs careful dry fitting and positioning.

Gap appears inside the bottom of the intake structure-I don’t know why, its happened to others.

Filler need on upper wing joint and belly guns.

If you take your time with it and dry fit the parts before you glue them, you should have a trouble-free build.[tup]

Hope this helps, any problems- give me a shout.[;)]

Thanks for the heads up! It’s snowing here again so I’ll be getting started on it today.
