Comments on the following… Badger 155 Anthem for priming, future, base coasts and general use… Iwata HP CS for finer work and detailing. Any opinions? Advice?
Can only comment on the Iwata. I have the Hp CS and it is an excellent choice, both for the beginner and for the more advanced, as it will produce as fine a line as you could ask for in 1/48 models and larger. It is also easy to dissasemble and clean. You can also add the .5mm needle, nozzle, and aircap into the airbrush for priming and clearcoats for less than the cost of a seperate airbrush. Thats what I did.
Definitely good idea going with a brand name instead of something like the Chinese HF knock offs.
Learning to use an airbrush is challenging enough without throwing in the unknown factor of an inferior product.
These cheapies may work just fine or they may not.

Iwata HP-CS: finer work & detailing
I recently bought an Iwata HP-B Plus (0.2 mm nozzle/needle) but I’m not sure if I really need it because I can do all fine works with my HP-CS. I bought a pre-set handle for my HP-CS, which makes spraying fine lines very easy.
