The left wing has been glued to the fuselage. The slot on the fuselage is a bit oversized, so the wing does not fit tight. Again, I used the red label Testors’ cement. I put cement on the wing’s mounting tab and in the fuselage’s slot. I let the cement set until it became a sticky goo. I pushed the tab into the slot and held it in place a few minutes. The plane was placed on its side so the the wing was vertical while the glue cured overnight.

Well, it’s time for decals and weathering. That will be on tomorrow’s adgenda.

Well, it’s raining outside so I figured that I would apply decals to my MIG. What a disaster. [8o|] The 24 year old decals fell apart when I tried to slide them off of the backing sheet. That is the first time that has happened to me. I guess that i’ll have to check out the Internet for decals.

I finally received my Microscale decals for my Mig 15. It’s time to finish up the Mig.
Looking really nice. Bummer about the decals but the new set looks great.
You really have that foil technique down. Looks great.

I applied one of the extra decals to a mule and the carrier film was very noticable, so I cut the identification number into individual numbers.

Well, that’s the extent of the decals. I was suprised that the red in the decals perfectly matched the red painted tail. The decal scheme is for the Chinese Liberation Army. I’ll let the decals dry for a day and then I’ll start on weathering the model.

The first coat of weathering has been added to the model. More may be added. Next will be adding the landing gear, guns and canopy.
