In the middle of my build of Accurate Minatures B25-B Mitchell. It’s going to be one of the Dolittle raiders when I’m done. Spent a fair amount of time on the interior and thought I’d share before I close her up. I went for a really heavy weathered look on the inside and I’ll do the same for the outside. Cameras not the best but it will have to do.
Well the pics look fine to me. Yeah is it not just a damn shame that you have to cover up such nice work and effort. Same thing happened to me with my He 111. I think I will get justice soon because I picked up a Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero (Zeke) Type 52 and it is the “skeleton version” so can show as much of the inside as I please, ha ha. Enough about me however…your work look really nice…don’t forget to let us see the finished work.
Very nice job on the pit. If you’re doing a Doolittle Raider, go easy on the exterior weathering. The planes were all stripped & repainted just prior to the mission.
I ran into the same thing on my B-17, but atleast we all know you did an excellent job on the inside . great work, it looks like you spent alot of time on it.
I’m working on my B-24 and I know what you mean about covering up all the interior detail. I have AM’s B-25C/D, looks like fun. Yours looks great.[:D][tup]
That’s why you take pictures, so you can prove to everyone that yes, you really did do a nice job on the interior. I wish my cockpits looked half as good as yours!
Really, really nice work on the Mitchell. That interior work certainly deserves to be shown off. Have you considered making a section(s) of the fuselage removeable so people can see into it?
quite the touch genj…[tup]…more than worth your efforts
if not mistaken, wasn’t there more than enough “glass” in the “B” to show off
your handiwork ???..once you’ve closed her up ???..at least how it would be viewed in one of the Doolittle Raiders ?
