b-58

many of you have seen this I am sure.

for those who my not have please enjoy it

pay very close attention to the end and who the pilot is

UUUHHH…pay attension to what???

Jimmy Stewart!

Please elaborate. Jimmy Stewart was in Strategic Air Command B-36’s and B-47’s in the end. Great Movie.

Huh?

I think we need some more details…

What was left off was a link to here. This three videos narrated by Jimmy Stewart hawking the B-58, and it shows him climbing out of the cockpit and are led to belive he had made the flight you just saw including the air refueling. But if you stop the film during the refueling and look at the helmut it just says USAF, not Brig Gen James Stewart, which is what Jimmys says. Anyway On to the show:

Jimmy Stewart!?

It would have been really something if it had been Jimi Hendrix!

Of course, to “fly” he wouldn’t need the aircraft…[:D]

Nice videos of the Hustler and some other SAC bombers. I loved the B-52 MITO sequence from the movie “A Gathering of Eagles”.

It’s true. Jimmy Stewart did make a flight in the B-58. Check out his excellent bio Jimmy Stewart: Bomber Pilot by Starr Smith. I was even surprised to learn he had a bombing mission in a B-52 over North Vietnam.

Jimi Hendrix did a lot of flying. He was an Army Paratrooper.
